Ship Ahoy "Children in Need" Pudsey Toy Box comes to SpainFollowing the very succesfull fund-raising events for "Children in Need" on the Costa Blanca, Round Town News was aproached by BBC TV Nottingham, to find a special home on the Costa Blanca for a beautifull, but very large toy box in the shape of a boat. Boat builder, Aaron Ventura of "Wood´N" Wotnots donated the boat to "Children in Need", and it is valued at around £ 500. It was decided that the Children´s Ward in Denia Hospital was the perfect place for it, and Candy Wright, and interpreter with the HELP organisation at Denia Hospital has liaised with the Hospital manager and very shortly the Boat/Toy box will be delivered to the ward. Kevin and Sheena of Silverdale Transport & Removals came to the rescue when the BBC couldn´t find anyone to transport the boat to Spain and they are pictured here collecting the the boat from the BBC TV studio in Nottingham. They will be delivering the boat to the hospital in the near future, once the final paperwork has been received. So far this year, Children in Need have raised an incredible £ 17.1 million.
